EmailCity Council members and commissioners

You can directly email Council members and commissioners about an issue. Your written communications, like your public comments at City meetings, are part of the public record.

  • The Council’s group email is citycouncil@kirklandwa.gov. Emails to this address are not automatically forwarded to individual Council members. During business hours, the Council’s executive assistant reviews the emails for spam and enters the others into Our Kirkland for tracking. Council members are then notified of the message.

  • Council members’ individual emails can be found by clicking on the Council member’s name. If something is urgent, you may want to send directly to each Council member.

  • Emails for various advisory commissions can be found by clicking on the individual commission and then clicking on the commissioner’s name.

  • Personal or campaign-related issues should be sent to personal or campaign email addresses. (Council members will move the conversation to the appropriate address, if necessary.)

Note: Under the Appearance of Fairness doctrine, Council members and Advisory Commissioners are not allowed to discuss quasi-judicial matters outside of formal public hearings. Most quasi-judicial matters are development projects.
